Illusion's Refuge

Amidst the tapestry of sight and mind's embrace,

Lies perception's dance, a waltz of space.

A world encircles what meets the eye,

Yet deeper truths within us lie.

For what truly matters is the lens we wear,

The chosen frames of vision we declare.

Reflecting paths from whence we came,

And futures sought, each dream a flame.

But veiled beneath, a shroud remains,

Uncertainty's realm, where mystery reigns.

Is it vital, this concealed domain,

Or can happiness sprout from the unknown's terrain?

In shadows cast, the heart finds glee,

A riddle unsolved sets our spirits free.

With suspense cloaked, we blissful dwell,

Ignorance afloat like a magic spell.

Yet as the curtain’s part, revealing truth's face,

We weave our judgments with swiftness and grace.

No in-between, emotions erupt strong,

In favour or disdain, they journey along.

Oh, the dichotomy that truth unveils,

A surge of feeling that prevails.

But beware, for negativity may sprout,

A blossom born of judgment's bout.

Is illusion, then, a refuge to claim,

A safer haven from truth's bright flame?

Does it shield us from the storm of perception's blow,

Where judgments bloom and emotions grow?

Perchance illusion dons a gentler attire,

Where the heart is free, untamed by fire.

In its veiled embrace, we may yet find,

A softer realm for the restless mind!
